Jun 25, Fri {A} This"B" ride covers approximately 30 miles. Meet at 6:45 am and ride at 7:00 sharp, leaving from the Marriott Inn, northwest corner of US 169 and I-394 in St. Louis Park. Jun 26, Sat {A} Bike to Loretto.  Join us for a ride west, where we'll stop for lunch in a local restaurant.  Round trip distance 43 miles, with optional 32 mile ride (lunch stop is on longer ride).   Meet at  Erik’s bike shop at the NW corner of Minnetonka Blvd and Texas Ave in St. Louis Park.   (Park in lot across the street.)  Meet at 9:45; ride starts at 10.   FFI - Fran Howley  612 869-8971, Franhowley@aol.com or  Julie Nelson jujnelson80@msn.com or Julie’s cell one hour before the ride:  612 599 5742.

Jun 27, Sun {A} Cycle Hudson to River Falls (and Beyond). Back by popular demand! This is the same fun 45- to 50-mile route from Hudson to points east of River Falls and back. A nice, rolling country "B" ride with little traffic -- and the hills really ain't all that bad. Trust ol' Mel. Be sure to bring along food and plenty of water since we pass through no towns the last 30 miles of the ride. We'll meet at Riverside Park in downtown Hudson (at 1st and Vine) at 9:15 a.m. and leave at 9:30 sharp! Dinner options after the ride. FFI: Mel Peterson, 651-776-4330 alphamel52@comcast.net

Jun 30, Wed {WW} East Metro Lakes, Parks and Trails Bike Ride. Meet at 9:45 am; ride at 10:00 am at Julie's for our annual ride into Roseville, Shoreview, White Bear Lake and back to St. Paul for lunch at Julie's. Pass many local lakes and enjoy riding regional parks and trails. Only one humorous bike portage. Bring a bag lunch and Julie will offer mineral cold water, beer and dessert. She lives 2 blocks west of Dale Street and 2 blocks north of Maryland at 1341 North Saint Albans Street. Jun 30, Wed {A} Summer Solstice Evening Bike Ride This annual ride will have a new twist as we celebrate the longest days of summer. This year we'll bike the rolling countryside around Cannon Falls, which is every bit as bucolic as River Falls but not quite as hilly. The ride is for strong "B" riders and has 30- and 40-mile options. We'll ride mostly on county roads although both loops will return on the Cannon Valley Trail. Meet at 5:30 p.m. at the Cannon Valley Trail parking lot in downtown Cannon Falls; begin riding at 5:45 SHARP ( be sure to bring lots of water)! Jul 3, Sat {A} Bike the Grand Round, Potluck in the Garden   Approximate 35-mile bike ride on the wonderful Twin Cities parkways.   Meet at Mike & Julie’s, drop off your potluck item, then bike from our house near the lakes.   We’ll return for dinner in the garden – or enjoy it from indoors if need be!  There will be coolers to hold your favorite beverage; we’ll provide soft drinks and dessert.   Appetizers, salads and main dishes encouraged.   The ride will start at 10 am.   Please RSVP.   FFI:   612 927 8423 or jujnelson80@msn.com.

Jul 3, Sat {S} Minneapolis Bike Tour & Pot Luck. City bike ride and pot luck Come dressed to celebrate July 4th. Meet at Pat's house, 5015 Bruce Ave, Edina 55424, at 9:30am for coffee and rolls; start biking at 10am sharp! Our usual route: Minnehaha Creek to the falls, our 1st rest stop, then continue along the Mississippi to St. Anthony on Maine and the Stone Arch bridge for our 2nd rest stop (and maybe a refreshing cervaza!). The last leg is along the Cedar Lake and Greeway trails and city lakes for a total of about 32 miles. Pat will provide brats and chips. Jul 16, Fri {SNO} Sommerfest and Peavey Plaza Fun. ADVANCE TICKET SALE. An annual tradition continues, with a gathering to dine and enjoy music on the outdoor stage at Peavey Plaza and a Sommerfest concert at Orchestra Hall. The MN Orchestra will play selections from the ballets of Tchaikovsky and Prokofiev at 8 PM. The á capella vocal group Up ‘til 2 performs on the plaza before the concert, and fabulous jazz with vocalist Charmin Michelle and guitarist Joel Shapira follows the concert.
